jcc Associates started seven years ago, providing  dedicated building surveying services to a selection of commercial and retail property clients; today we remain small but with big capability. Utilising an established network of associates, including support from consultants in other fields, we can confidently and competitively compete in the bigger market; more particularly with acquisition surveys, contract administration and dilapidations.

In the past  few years we have extended our property inspection services to Europe where we have carried out over 25 investment acquisition reports from Croatian Hotels to Swiss Hospitals to German manufacturing plant. In addition we have undertaken photographic records of condition of three very large industrial sites in Germany and the Czech Republic.

Dilapidations remain a core service and in 2008 we  provided expert advice on behalf of the defendant in a  case which was  highlighted in Property Week (05.09.08),  in which a £500,000 dilapidations claim was settled for only £1,073; moreover following the arguments presented, the Court felt  that this case was sufficiently exceptional to justify the defendant recovering its costs on an indemnity basis [Business Environment Bow Lane v. Deanwater Estates, 31.07.08]. 

Our instructions are usually based on negotiated fixed term rates for regular or repeat business otherwise an hourly rate depending on the work type and surveyor experience required.
